Employment Creation

Unemployment in the township of Crossroads and Nyanga is quite high, life is very difficult without a form of income to sustain lives and families. We have therefore formed a number of strategic partnerships to create economic opportunities for youth and older persons living in Crossroads and Nyanga. The funding partners provides us with internship opportunities and expanded public work opportunities. The work opportunities we create is founded on the values of worthwhile work, work that has social impact. Our volunteers assist in different community schools, recreational parks, safety and in ILB programmes. Besides offering them with stipends we also offer our volunteers with skills training. Sometimes the government only supports us for a little while during the year and when funding stops we have to cut off our support to the volunteers. It is our wish to find dedicated funding partners who will support this cause for good and make it sustainable so we can create meaningful economic opportunities for the communities we serve.
